Low budget, yet highly gripping stories of blackmail and revenge in the world of internet piracy.
Before The Guild arrived to entertain computer geeks, there was The Scene. It was made by Jun Productions and aimed at and set in the peer to peer scene. Filmed using very simple camera work and mainly screen shots of online chats the story unfolds in the seedy and menacing back alleys of the internet that most of us never visit. Despite the majority of the drama being revealed in real time in instant messenger screens it is genuinely gripping. Like You Suck at Photoshop it is made in a low tech way that is entirely appropriate to its setting and audience.
The makers claim that "each episode of The Scene has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times in over 70 countries around the world!"
